Release Agents And Antiquing

Colored powdered release agents are used when stamping concrete so that the stamps do not stick and release from the concrete but especially to add color to your concrete and dimension to the stamp design, which is called antiquing. The next day you would wash off the excess, leaving your stamped project antiqued.

You also have the choice to use a Clear Liquid Release while stamping.

You can still Antique your stamped concrete with a liquid antiquing. This is done by mixing equal parts of Xylene and 1315, 2 gallons each with 1/4 cup of your choice of Antiquing colors. you then spray this over the concrete to create an antiquing look, before sealing.
