Project Design with Depiction Software
Decorative Concrete Supply can provide contractors and homeowners alike with a realistic rendering of what a stained, stamped, and/or colored concrete surface could look like. Depiction software is a mix of photo-shop and CAD, combining actual site images with computer generated images of our stamps and colors to give the customer a better idea of what they are in search of for their home or business.
Advantages to using concrete over pavers in a public works installation are quickly found when you consider pavers take large amounts of time to install, typically multiple days to do. Concrete can be poured and stamped same day, allowing crews to complete multiple installations in a single day.
We also offer concrete colors with high solar reflective index ratings, these are valuable in that they don’t create a “heat island” effect. Concrete provides reflective surfaces that minimize the urban heat island effect. Urban heat islands are primarily attributed to horizontal surfaces such as roofs and pavements that absorb solar radiation. Where paved surfaces are required, materials with higher solar reflectance, such as concrete, will reduce the heat island effect, save energy by reducing the demand for air conditioning in surrounding buildings, and improving air quality. Solar reflective index rated concrete can also add LEED points to a project. The minimum SRI for attaining LEED points is 29, concrete provides you with a SRI typically of 38-52, and can be higher depending on certain colors.
